As a person who came from a small, isolated First Nations community to attend highschool in Thunder Bay, Bobby Narcisse can relate well to the difficulties experienced by his students. Narcisse is an Education Counselor at Churchill Highschool who helps Aboriginal youth adjust to the dramatically different lifestyle they experience in the city highschool setting.

Narcisses goal is to keep his students in school and to allow them to expand their horizons. His message is simple and direct: "If I can do it...anyone can do it". Narcisse came to Thunder Bay from Aeroland First Nations where he had lived in what he describes as a shack without running water or electricity. He graduated from St. Patricks highschool and has traveled to Venezuela and New Zealand on various exchange programs. He credits his mother with involving him in positive community activities and looks to provide the same sort of encouragement to his students.
