6 or more players aged 5 and up, played indoors and
outdoors.
All but one of the players sit in a large circle, each player
being about 2-3 meters apart. The lone player must wander clockwise
around the circle armed with a handkerchief, of hanky. At any time
during his wanderings, the lone player may drop the hanky behind an
unsuspecting sitting player, and then continue wandering as if
nothing happened.
However, if the player does realize the handkerchief has been
dropped behind him, he must leap up and run the counter clockwise
around the circle. The two players race around the circle, each
trying to reach the empty space first, and the player left without
a space in the circle must be the wanderer.
If the wandered is tricky enough, he may drop the hanky and get
a good head start on the other player before that player realizes
what is happening.
