Kushal Subedi's Story:

When I came to Canada for the first time from Nepal I had my uncle. He came to pick me and my family up. When I came here first I felt sad because I had to leave my friends behind. I did not know anyone when I first came here. Then we got settled in and my uncle showed us all the different places. It was kind of cold and we did not know how to dress up for winter.  The first time I saw snow I went outside to take some pictures. I was happy. We had some clothes, which we had brought from our home country and we dressed warmly. We did not know how cold the weather would be outside, so after we experienced the first day, we knew what kinds of clothes to buy for winter. Then on the weekend we started buying things for the room. We did not know where to arrange the things we bought.  Our relative bought us furniture for the room and we designed it the way we wanted to. Our relative helped us settle in the house. When I first went to school I did not know anyone at school and I was kind of nervous to talk to anybody. After a few days, I started to talk to some students. They helped me to go to classes and they also showed me everything around the school. They also helped me and they told me the prices of the food. I am happy to be in Canada.
