8 or more players aged 5 and up, played indoors and outdoors.

Players form two equal teams and make two single-file lines behind a starting line. About 15-20 meters away there is a flag, or ball, hat, etc.

The object of the game is for the first member of one team to run for the flag and bring it back over the starting line, without being caught by a corresponding member of the opposite team, who is chasing him. If the runner is successful, he gets one point for his team, but if he is caught, he must freeze on the spot and the flag returns to the field.

When a player is caught, the opposite team automatically gets to run for the flag. If they can, players who have the flag may tag free their teammates on their way back to the starting line. Each freed player counts for one point.

The game continues until all of one team is frozen, or towards a time limit, when the team with the most points is the winner.
