FREE INCOME TAX CLINIC
For Low-Income Immigrants
(For household income of less than $15,000 without dependents, or less than $22,500 with dependents)

In cooperation with Chartered Accountants Association

March 11 & 12 , 2008
Tuesday and Wednesday Evenings

From 6:00pm to 8:00pm 

You may be eligible for a TAX REFUND or a tax credit.

Chartered Accountants will prepare your tax return FREE!

To be eligible for this program, your household income must be less than $15,000 without dependents, and less than $22,500 with dependents.

What to bring...

  1. Last year's completed income tax return & Notice of Assessment
  2. This year's blank income tax return (T1 General Form)
  3. Social Insurance Number for you and your spouse/common-law partner  (if applicable)
  4. List of dependents and exact birth dates (day, month, year)
  5. All receipts of income:
    • salary, wages (T4)
    • Pension, retirement, annuity, and other income (scholarships) (T4A)
    • Registered Income Fund income (T4RIF)
    • Registered Retirement Savings Plan income (T4RSP)
    • Statements of trust income (T3)
    • Canada Savings Bond interest benefits
    • Canada Pension Plan benefits (T4A (P))
    • Old Age Security benefits (T4A (OAS))
    • Interest and dividend (T5)
    • Social assistance (T5007)
    • Worker's compensation (T5007)
    • Employment Insurance (T4E)
  6. All receipts for expenses:
    • Child care expenses (plus caregiver's Social Insurance Number)
    • Medical expenses
    • Interest expense
    • Adoption expense
    • Charitable donations
    • Property taxes or rent paid for tax year (include all addresses resided for a year)
    • Monthly transit passes and receipts
    • Political donations
    • Union dues
    • Tuition fees/Education amount (T2202/T2202A)
    • Student loan interest
    • RRSP contributions
    • Disability certificate (if 1st year of claim or previous one has expired- T2201)
    • If claiming tax credits for non-resident spouse or children, dates of birth, complete addresses and proof of payment  (generally receipts for money orders) for funds sent to dependents
