Umbrella organization for Thunder Bay's Finnish groups. Promotes awareness of Finnish culture, provides entertainment for Finnish people.

Meetings are held once or twice a year at Finlandia Club. Membership is open to members of other Finnish organizations. No fees apply.

Activities:

Cultural research and preservation group.  Works to preserve Finnish-Canadian history in the region with books, photos, etc...; organizes photographic/project displays, films, slides, and guest speakers.

Has a display upstairs at 314 Bay Street that can be seen on appointment and an archive at Lakehead University library.

Meetings are as needed at Lakehead University library in the Archives Room.  Membership is open to the public.

Recently published a book titled History of Finnish Businesses in the Thunder Bay Area.

Social club.  Holds coffee socials, bingos, dances, yard sales, etc..., organizes summer picnics and restaurant outings.

Business meetings: 1st Tuesday of each month at 55 Plus Centre.

Social meetings: two weeks after at same location.
